After more than five years and over $4 millions of support, The REES Committee along with members of the community celebrated the long-awaited grand re-opening of the “labor of love” in downtown Plymouth Saturday, Oct. 1 with the beginning of a week-long celebration. Read this Collector’s Edition thanking our community for their dedication to this project.

An orphan until the tender age of 12 years old, Tom Grzesiak left a legacy to provide children 12 and under with tickets to movies shown at The REES. Those children will need accompanied by a paying adult to attend the movie, but their ticket will be provided at no-cost to them.

The Rees and Wild Rose Moon co-sponsor guitar master Pierre Bensusan! Concert will take place at The Rees. "To say that Bensusan is a master of the guitar is like saying Albert Einstein was good at math. When guitarist and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Larry Campbell tells you, 'this guy is something else. He is just amazing,' you listen."

The first movie that Denver Bierman was allowed to watch at The REES without his parents was “Ernest Saves Christmas”. His parents dropped him and Nathan off with some money for tickets, popcorn and soda. “My parents dropped me and my brother off at the front door and we got to go by ourselves. Like - that’s a big deal. You don’t forget that. We lived on South Michigan St. - it’s like four blocks away but they picked us up in the car and drove us. It was around Christmas time.”

Denver Bierman challenging all trumpeters to join the World Record Trumpet Challenge on Oct. 1st at River Park Square in Plymouth, Indiana during the REES for the Stars Grand Reopening event. Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra will perform after the challenge from 1-3 pm.
